Free Painting Estimate Template
Give customers a clear view of the work before you pick up a brush. Start with a practical line item structure and add the measurements and prices that match your job.
Start with the job details
Identify your business, the customer, and the job address. Give the project a recognizable name and an expiration date. Describe the rooms, surfaces, and finishes included.
- Business name and contact information.
- Customer name and job address.
- Scope of work and excluded areas.
- Estimate expiration date and payment terms.
Separate preparation, painting, and cleanup
Patching a wall, priming it, and applying finish coats are different tasks. Separate them when it helps explain your scope. State whether labor and materials are included in each rate to avoid counting the same cost twice.
Use a unit that matches the work
Use square feet for surfaces, linear feet for trim, each for individual doors, hours for time, gallons for materials, or a fixed job amount. For a job-based line item, explain exactly what is included.
